Why You Want To Work With Me

My career in fashion is a labor of love that spans over 30 years.  Mainly at Valentino, later at Giorgio Armani.

Working with beautiful clothing from the beginning was a gift. Developing my ‘fashion eye’ as was well as mastery of a garment’s perfect fit was a process.  There I was fortunate to be trained by a particular generation of seamstresses and tailors who gave their careers to luxury fashion.  Their advice, wisdom and perspective still apply to every one of my fittings.

Visits to the Italian factories that made the clothes I sold taught me the process of a garment’s manufacture from sketch, to pattern to hanger.

My interaction with these talented women and men gave me the how and the why particular fabrics, thread and stitching are used in a garment’s construction. 

As well as how patterns are modified and enhanced for commercial production. 

And with all of this said, the main component of my fashion education comes from the client, from you.  Listening to learn what your needs are is the core of my work.  From there I build the looks that get you out the door, with confidence, to wherever your day to day takes you.
